LIVE EDGE WALNUT CUTTING BOARD / CLASSIC SERIES

This Live Edge Cutting Board is made from thick Pennsylvania Black Walnut wood slabs we saw and dry for 2 years. Each board is at least 2” thick which increase durability and stability on the counter making them more comfortable to work on. Our thicker board thickness also creates a wider board edge allowing the board to stand stably on edge against the counter backsplash. 

Walnut Cutting Boards are some of our most popular because of their rich dark coffee-brown heartwood and contrasting pale white sapwood. This Custom Cutting Board is reversable with 2 spacious flat cutting surfaces for prepping meal ingredients to entertaining serving a charcuterie spread.  With a hardness of (1,010 lbf. Janka Scale) walnut is easy on knife edges yet tough enough and long lasting.

Cherry, Walnut and Hard Maple are the 3 most preferred hardwoods used to make the Best Wood Cutting Boards because they are closed grain / non-porous hardwoods that resist liquid absorbing into the wood fibers helping to minimize bacteria contamination. Each board is a single piece of solid black walnut that is sanded to a 320 grit and cured with 3 applications of Odies Penetrating Oil that establishes a deep and protective oil/moisture barrier.
