Our ZimBoards Slicer Series Maple Cutting Board features a routed juice groove that keeps meat juices on the board avoiding a mess on the counter or table. Use this Custom Cutting Board for carving up delicious smoked brisket, juicy standing beef roasts or roasted turkey – this Hard Maple Cutting Board is reversible with a routed juice groove and well on one side of the board and a spacious flat cutting surface on the opposite side. Turn the board over and use the flat cutting surface for cutting up fruits or vegetables and for prepping meal ingredients. Routed finger grooves make maneuvering the board from kitchen to table easy.

This Thick Wood Cutting Board measures 2” thick or greater and is a single plank of solid hard maple that sits stably on the counter and is comfortable to work. Wood Cutting Board thickness is important, and our extra board thickness makes our boards more durable and longer lasting. Additionally, our thicker board has a hefty form giving it greater natural appeal that looks great standing on edge against the counter backsplash. Hard Maple wood is the most popular hardwood for making Custom Cutting Boards because of its toughness – its hardness of 1450 lbf (Janka Scale) make it easy on knife edges yet very durable and long lasting. Hard Maple is a closed grain / non-porous wood that resists liquid (food juices and blood) absorption into the wood helping to stop bacteria contamination. 

Each ZimBoards Hard Maple Cutting Board is handmade by skilled Lancaster County Pa. woodcrafters and made from one thick sugar maple wood slab we sawed and dried for 2 years.
