Our ZimBoards “Flat Top” Series Cherry Cutting Board is our most popular Thick Wood Cutting Board we make! This Custom Cutting Board is reversable, featuring two spacious flat cutting surfaces used for everything from meal prep to serving up smoked baby back pork ribs. Our Flat Top Cherry, Maple or Walnut boards are our work horses in the kitchen – durable and long lasting. Routed finger grooves make maneuvering the board from kitchen to table easy.

This 2” thick single-plank of Central Pennsylvania Wild Cherry is full of organic appeal with its natural wood character and rich reddish-brown color. This boards thick hefty form looks great standing on edge against the counter backsplash. Wild Cherry’s hardness of 950 lbf (Janka Scale) makes it very easy on knife edges while durable and long lasting. Additionally, Wild Cherry is a closed grain and non-porous wood which helps to stop liquids (food juices and blood) from absorbing into the wood making the board more sanitary – minimizes the chance of bacterial contamination.

Each board is handmade by skilled woodcrafters and made from thick wood slabs we saw and dry for 2 years ourselves. Choose from a Live Edge Cutting Board or modern look of the Flat-Edge.

CONSTRUCTION – Solid 2” or greater board thickness, Central Pennsylvania Black Cherry cut to board size, routed finger grips, smooth sanded to 320 grit, saturated in food safe mineral oil and finished with 2 applications of Odies Food Safe Penetrating Oil – establishes a deep oil/moisture barrier.
