Our solid sycamore Custom Floating Shelves are more Wood Wall Art rather than just an ordinary Wood Shelf.

Sycamore is made up of predominantly sapwood which is light tan to darker reddish-brown. Distinct ray flecks and quartersawn markings giving sycamore its unique appearance. Occasional spalting with its black interlocking lines combined with a wavy live edge make our Sycamore Floating Shelves a dynamic natural décor accent.

SOLID SYCAMORE CONSTRUCTION - Our Sycamore Live Edge Floating Shelves are made from one thick Sycamore Live Edge Wood Slab that’s air dried for 2 years before its kiln dried and sent to the wood shop. Each Wood Shelf is fine sanded with knots or splits filled with epoxy resin creating a smooth surface. The Wood Floating Shelf is routed and drilled to accept its hidden bracket that holds it flush and secure to the wall – installs in minutes.

FLAWLESS SHELF FINISH - Our high-quality finish guarantees a Premium Wood Floating Shelf, our professionally applied Catalyzed Conversion Varnish (CCV) accomplishes this. CCV is the toughest, longest lasting fine furniture finish available, period. The CCV with its 60% solids seal the wood making it permanent never needing reapplying. Additionally, it resists scratches and water marks while revealing the wood’s beautiful color and grain. 

Materials & Dimensions: Each Sycamore Floating Shelf is made from a 3” thick Sycamore wood slab we dried for 2 years. We never use glued boards that look unnatural for our shelves. Our Wood Floating Shelf sizes are 18” to 80” wide and 8” to 15” deep.
