Our Black Walnut Floating Shelves are defined by their beautiful wood character and premium fine furniture finish. Upgrade your space with our Black Walnut Live-edge Floating Shelves that are full of natural wood color and character. We build our single-plank black walnut shelves to be statement pieces – to accent a spaces décor. Our walnut shelves with their live-edge, rich coffee-brown heartwood, pale sapwood and purple hues with wavy grain bring an amazing natural element into any space. Each of our floating wood shelves are a 2”+ thick single-plank of black walnut that is beautifully finished to a lustrous satin 20-sheen CCV finish.

We select, saw and dry all of our own wood which benefits our customers by giving them access to uncommon character-grade hardwood with burly edges and unusual figure. Our professionally applied CCV (Catalyzed Conversion Varnish) Finish is superior to any hand applied oil finish - a 60% solids build up finish that seals the wood with an elasticity preventing cracking and is scratch and water resistant. The CCV finish leaves a smooth satin surface while intensifying the woods color and character.

Custom kitchen shelves, bathroom shelves to shelving for common spaces, each ZimBoard Floating Shelf features its strong, easy to install hidden bracket that when installed is out of sight giving the perception that the wood shelf is suspended in air. Each shelf is routed and drilled for its hidden bracket – installing requires common tools and typically takes approximately 15 minutes.
